Front shocks worked after upsizing the bushing in one end. Drilling it out only left 1.3mm wall thickness so I used welded seam steel tubing cut to length. The new steel bushings pushed out easy enough and the oversized ones I made fit into the bushing well.

I had to researched extensively but had confidence that these were the correct shocks for the front of my EZGO 3 wheel cart even though, based on my model number, my 1981 cart was not within the model years advertised. The only issue was that the bushing diameter of the shocks was 1/2 inch bottom and 7/16 inch top. It was easy enough, although a little tricky, to drill out the top bushing to 1/2 inch. Otherwise they were an exact match for my cart. Best part was that the Golf Cart Geeks price was A LOT cheaper. Delivery time was good - about 1 1/2 weeks.
