Description

The 20.5 MFD Capacitor is a replacement component designed for older 36-volt Lester battery chargers used across a wide range of golf cart brands, including Club Car electric models, E-Z-GO Total and Powerwise chargers (20.5 MF versions), Columbia/Harley-Davidson carts, Cushman vehicles, and Taylor-Dunn equipment.

Capacitors help smooth and regulate the charger's output, and a failing capacitor is a common cause of older chargers not operating correctly or failing to bring batteries to a full charge. Because Lester-style chargers were used across many golf cart manufacturers throughout the 1980s and 1990s, this capacitor cross-references to multiple OEM part numbers depending on the charger model and vehicle brand.

This compact, lightweight component is designed as a like-for-like replacement, making it a straightforward solution for troubleshooting chargers that are no longer maintaining proper voltage or shutting off prematurely.

As with most charger internal components, installation should only be performed by someone experienced with electrical systems, as it requires working inside the charger housing.

Most products are organized by cart brand and model, including Club Car, EZGO, and Yamaha. Always verify your cart's year and model before purchasing to ensure proper fitment.

Lithium batteries offer longer runtime, faster charging, reduced weight, and virtually no maintenance compared to traditional lead-acid batteries. They're one of the most popular upgrades for improving golf cart performance.

The correct voltage depends on your cart's electrical system. Common options include 24V, 36V, 48V, and 72V. Always replace your battery system with the voltage recommended for your specific cart model.

In many cases, yes. Most stock golf carts can accommodate certain 18"–20" tire sizes without a lift kit, but larger tires often require additional clearance. Fitment depends on your cart model and wheel setup.

Not always. Smaller wheel and tire upgrades may fit stock carts, but larger tire sizes generally require a lift kit to prevent rubbing and improve clearance.

Popular lift kit styles include A-Arm, Spindle, Drop Axle, and Block Lift Kits. Each offers different ride characteristics, tire clearance, and installation requirements.
