Description

This connector handle kit is designed for Anderson SB50-series plugs, the genderless quick-disconnect connectors used on E-Z-GO electric golf carts to join the onboard battery cable to the charger cord. SB50 housings are the smallest connector in Anderson's SB family, rated for continuous currents up to 120 amps (50 amps under UL-rated hot-plug conditions) at up to 600 volts, and accept wire from 16 AWG up to 6 AWG.

Because the SB50's one-piece housing has no built-in grip, repeatedly plugging and unplugging it — especially with cold or stiff cable — can put strain directly on the DC cord where it exits the housing. This handle kit clips onto the housing to provide a solid grip for mating and unmating by hand, while supporting the cord at the rear of the housing so the handle, not the wire, takes the pulling force.

On E-Z-GO electric carts from this era, this kit is typically fitted wherever a separate pull handle and cord support weren't molded into the original SB50 housing.

This is a hardware accessory only; it does not include the SB50 housing, contacts, or wire.

Lithium batteries offer longer runtime, faster charging, reduced weight, and virtually no maintenance compared to traditional lead-acid batteries. They're one of the most popular upgrades for improving golf cart performance.

The correct voltage depends on your cart's electrical system. Common options include 24V, 36V, 48V, and 72V. Always replace your battery system with the voltage recommended for your specific cart model.

In many cases, yes. Most stock golf carts can accommodate certain 18"–20" tire sizes without a lift kit, but larger tires often require additional clearance. Fitment depends on your cart model and wheel setup.

Not always. Smaller wheel and tire upgrades may fit stock carts, but larger tire sizes generally require a lift kit to prevent rubbing and improve clearance.

Popular lift kit styles include A-Arm, Spindle, Drop Axle, and Block Lift Kits. Each offers different ride characteristics, tire clearance, and installation requirements.
