Unlike the more common gray version, the red SB50 housing is mechanically keyed to mate only with other red SB50 housings, helping prevent accidental connection between different charging circuits or voltage systems.

The Anderson SB50 series is rated for up to 120 amps continuous current and supports hot-plugging (connecting or disconnecting under load) at up to 50 amps, making it well suited for routine daily charging applications.

Lester's factory listing identifies this cordset as 9 feet in length, although it is commonly sold and measured as approximately 8.5 feet, consistent with the Summit Series II accessory lineup.
